Christmas & New Years Blog

It was a fast paced week, with several tests, visiting classes to read our Christmas picture books, watching The Nativity Story in Religion, The Phantom Tollbooth in Literature. and a bit of fun mixed in - ask your kids about the Elf breakout. On Thursday, we had a special Christmas worship led by the 8th grade and Kindergarten focusing on the joy of the shepherds sharing the Good news of Jesus -  the birth of our Savior is such important news it must be shared!!  

THANKS ROOM PARENTS for the great food and fun at our party!  The kids had a blast. 

Thank you so much to all of you for all of the gifts and treats- you guys seriously spoil me so much! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy New Year. While this break has flown by, I am excited to see your kids so soon!

Cass & Presley's News Report and Updates!!

    This week we had an English test and started writing children's books. We worked on our Science cell projects and acted out a play in literature. On Wednesday we celebrated Taylor Swift's Birthday, and we watched the 1st and 2nd graders perform their advent service. On Friday, we started a new art project and went on a field trip to go see our pen pals.

Laclede Groves Field Trip:

It was SO amazing to see everyone interacting with their pen pals! They had some great conversations and got to learn so much about their new friends, and we even got invited back to go see them again in the spring! I encourage you to ask your student about their favorite parts and conversations they got to have! It was so sweet to see!
