Hughes & Scott's News Report of the Week

 Class Blog from 6D

By Scott, and Hughes🫡

To start off our week, on Monday it was Mrs. Tomlinson's birthday. And school wise we have been learning in science about primary and secondary succession. In math, G has been working on the area of parallelograms and T is working on getting ready for the unit test, which has area and perimeter, division, and multiplication.

On Tuesday, we read a book about a kid who is tasked to watch over a claim of land, but then some claim jumpers try to come to the land to steal the Gold on the claim. We also spent most of the morning taking pictures. Some were soccer pictures, student council, volleyball, strings, and school picture retakes. School wise, we got our Religion and English test study guide. In T math, we had a fall place value game, where we had to find out the place value of a number, and that number is a certain letter, and we had to spell out a joke.

On Wednesday, we had chapel in the morning. We played a game of “Who am I?” Where the pastor describes a teacher, and we have to guess who it is. And then he described Jesus as our one Savior. Then we started water coloring our Island Art. We have to use gradient shading to make the water surrounding our identity island look good.

Thursday was a pretty normal day. In literature, we had to work on a newspaper, summarizing the story we read on Tuesday. We were also assigned some social studies review questions. In T and G science, we were drawing primary successions, and secondary successions.

And that brings us to Fun Friday. We started off the morning doing an SEL day. We got to hear a song that Miss Dubberke picks out a christian song for us to hear every friday. And we talked about having empathy and watched a video on how long it takes us to step in and help when we are with multiple people.

. We also watched a Snoop Dogg song on affirmations. In literature, we had the whole class period to work on our newspaper. Then we went to gym and played a game where we throw dodgeballs at towers, and whoever knocks down three towers wins.

And that concludes our week, and our blog. We hoped you enjoyed our summary of the week. Have a great rest of your day.🫡
